SCSMM: How did you first discover Snapchat?
I think I had it for over 6 months on my mobile and opened it once. It looked so confusing and I never thought that I would come behind this hype. But then in a quiet moment, I opened the app again and voilá my brain got it. I started uploading stories from the first minute.
SCSMM: Why do you think Snapchat has taken off?
Snapchat has taken off? Well, it never was in Germany hahaha… I believe here it is now starting at last.
SCSMM: What do you like to Snap about?
My Snapchat account is so colorful, like my life. I like snapping about scaring my boyfriend or just doing some hilarious stuff like dancing in a monkey costume. But I like serious snaps the most. I have no problem opening my mouth and telling the world my thinking. So I speak a lot about racism and cruel things happening in this World. I mean, I like to make the people laugh but you should never forget that this world is not a fairy tale.
SCSMM: Why should everyone follow you on Snapchat and watch your stories every day?
I think I can give people a huge step in having more self-confidence. I don’t take myself too seriously, and I don’t care what other people think about me. So if you like Snapchat Stories which are sometimes hilarious and sometimes serious. You’re very welcome to join my world.
SCSMM: What would you recommend someone do just starting out on Snapchat?
To be honest. I first startedSnapchat a couple months ago too. But I found out that people like to see a real face and listen to the truth more than any fake stuff. It’s not important that your hair is looking perfect or a filter is hiding your pimples. If you be yourself and have some good ideas for a story people will enjoy it.
SCSMM: Have you ever been hired to represent a brand or product on Snapchat?
Not yet, but if I could stand behind a product or a brand I really like, I would do it. Like the ‘I trust You Movement’. They didn’t hire me, but I like to represent it on my stories because I really can stand with it.
SCSMM: How do you develop your Snapchat stories? Are the spontaneous or do you plan them out?
This is so different. Sometimes I plan them, and sometimes I just see something and snap, and it turns into a whole story. And I really need to say that the spontaneous stories are always the best ones.
SCSMM: What else do you do? What is your business?
I am working as a specialist for media and information services.
SCSMM: How do you think Snapchat has helped your life and business grow?
A lot. I started using Snapchat for my day job. Snapchat is not so huge in Germany like in other countries, but we saw that it’s growing here. So, I said that I would use it first privately to check if it could be something for our company. I never thought that my account would rise so fast. My boss is okay with it because I met people from all over the world with the same job as me, so my job network rises with it.
SCSMM: How is the Snapchat community different from other social networks?
The Snapchat community is the most loving community in social networking. I have never seen so many beautiful hearts who just want to meet other people through curiosity about different languages, cultures or habits. I love it so much that Snapchat is such an open network.
